There’s something going on this month at Amazon Prime Video, and it’s not looking good for subscribers. As of September 30, Amazon has not released a full list of what’s coming to Prime Video in October. Most notably, the fresh lineup of movies that tends to come every month on the 1st is completely absent from any official communication from Amazon. Does this mean that there are no new library titles coming to Prime Video in October? If so, that’s the kind of thing that Amazon should be telling their customers ahead of time.
Amazon could simply be running very behind with its Prime Video information for the month, but withholding it does a disservice to everyone who subscribes to the service. It certainly doesn’t make Amazon look good, even though the streamer does have a few originals coming up this month. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 2 finale airs on October 3, the same day that The Legend of Vox Machina, an animated fantasy show, returns for season 3.
Citadel, the spy action franchise that didn’t get much traction in 2023, is getting a spinoff, Citadel: Diana, on October 10. At the beginning of the month, Zendaya’s romance movie, Challengers, is coming to Prime Video, and on October 24, Kate Beckinsale is starring in the Amazon original action movie Canary Black.
