Busoga United secured a crucial 2-1 victory against Wakiso Giants in a Uganda Premier League encounter, propelling them out of the relegation zone.

Emmanuel Ajo opened the scoring in the 16th minute, but Kenneth Kimera swiftly equalized for the visitors just three minutes later.

However, Basham Mugwa sealed the win for Busoga United with a goal ten minutes before the final whistle.

This victory marks Busoga United’s fifth win of the season, elevating them to 21 points and safely out of the danger zone by two points.

Its a big win in terms of survival for Busoga United, in a week their coach Jessy Lukoki due to financial hardships.

Meanwhile, Wakiso Giants suffered their 12th defeat of the season, leaving them with a seven-point cushion above the relegation zone.
