Kampala– Various Legislators have praised the fallen Kalangala Woman Member of Parliament Hon. Hellen Nakimuli for serving her constituents whole heartedly something that has created change in many people’s lives.

During a a special sitting held today, legislators have contributed money to the grieved family on top of promising more support to Nakimuli’s only daughter to complete school.
Hon. Joel Ssenyonyi, the Leader of opposition stated that, Nakimuli served Kalangala with quiet strength, ensuring that the voices of island communities were heard in Parliament despite geographical isolation and limited infrastructure.
He added that same legislator, stood firmly for transparency, accountability and responsible governance, and continued demanding answers from government until her final days in Parliament.
Rt Hon. Anita Among, the Speaker of Parliament, in her message, promised that through Bukedea Comprehensive School, she has paid school fees for the late Helen Nakimuli’s child up to Senior Four.
House approves contribution for Nakimuli’s daughter’s education
Hon. Peter Ogwang, the state Minister for Sports moved a motion for the Parliamentary Commission to deduct UGX 500,000 from each MP to support the education of the late Helen Nakimuli’s daughter.
This motion was unanimously adopted by the House.
