Fresh off securing their sixth Finance Trust Women Super League title, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC are continuing to grow their influence beyond the football pitch, attracting support from Uganda’s corporate and public institutions.
On Thursday, May 21, club officials led by CEO Waiswa Hamuza and team manager Tabu Wabwire paid a courtesy visit to the The National Citizenship and Immigration Control – Uganda under the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Kampala, where they presented club jerseys to Passport Control Officer Madam Ikisu Julia and other staff members in the passport office.
The visit highlighted the growing popularity of the newly crowned champions following another successful campaign in the Finance Trust Women Super League.
Speaking during the visit, Madam Julia thanked the club officials for the gesture and praised the team for their remarkable performances throughout the season.
She revealed that staff members at the ministry had closely followed the club’s progress through their colleague, Micho Nkurunziza, who also serves as a fitness coach at Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC.
