Shocking Allegations from Freed Kenyan Detainees Implicate UPDF CHIEF Muhoozi » The Hoima Post –

NAIROBI – In a bombshell press conference that has sent shockwaves through Uganda and the wider East African community, two Kenyan nationals recently freed from detention in Uganda have made stunning allegations, claiming they were held and tortured in the same cell as the brother of a powerful Ugandan minister and that their captors were taking direct orders from President Museveni’s son, Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
Bob Njagi and Nicholas Oyoo, who described a month-long ordeal in a suspected SFC (Special Forces Command) safe house in Kasenyi, Entebbe, stated they were detained with the brother of Internal Affairs Minister, Gen. Kahinda Otafiire. The minister’s brother, they revealed, had been missing for the last four months.
The allegations, if true, paint a picture of a deeply fractured and lawless security apparatus. The Internal Affairs Minister is constitutionally mandated to supervise the police and oversee national security and law and order. The claim that his own brother could be “abducted and disappeared” for months exposes a catastrophic breakdown of institutional command and control.
“This speaks a lot about the total collapse of institutions in Uganda,” a Ugandan opposition leader stated in response to the revelations. “The fact that this Minister’s own brother can be abducted and disappeared for months on the direct orders of the very person he’s supposed to supervise is the clearest evidence that our state has been captured by a criminal enterprise.”
The source further emphasized the gravity of the situation, stating, “This is why I have repeatedly said that no one is safe in a sinking boat. If the brother of a senior minister is not safe, what chance does an ordinary citizen have?”
The detainees’ claim that their abductors were “directly reporting to Mr. Museveni’s son Muhoozi” directly implicates the Senior Presidential Advisor for Special Operations and Commander of Uganda’s Land Forces in extra-constitutional activities. This is likely to intensify scrutiny on the role of the First Family in Uganda’s security operations, which have long been accused of human rights abuses.
The revelations have sparked immediate calls for accountability and the release of all political prisoners. “As we strive for a New Uganda where this criminality shall be a thing of the past, we must also never get tired of demanding for the release of all political prisoners and missing persons!” the opposition leader declared.
The Ugandan government has yet to officially respond to these specific allegations. The claims made by Njagi and Oyoo are expected to strain diplomatic relations between Uganda and Kenya and have intensified demands for an independent international investigation into Uganda’s network of safe houses and the phenomenon of enforced disappearances.
