The 2024 Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association (USSSA) National Boys Football groups have been officially confirmed following draws held at the headquarters in Old Kampala on Thursday.

In the upcoming tournament, 16 groups comprising four schools each will compete. At this stage, every school will engage in three matches, with the top two advancing to the round of 32.

The defending champions, St. Mary’s Kitende, find themselves in Group A alongside Kisozi Seed School, Mbale Progressive, and Ngora High School.

Hosts Masaka SS will contend in Group O, facing Andy Mwesigwa, Welden School, and Makobere.

Last year’s runners-up, St. Henry Kitovu, are placed in Group P, alongside Kabalega Secondary School, Kobulubulu Secondary School, and Hillview College – Bulangira.

The tournament is scheduled to commence on Saturday, April 26, culminating on Sunday, May 6, at Masaka Secondary School.

St. Mary’s SS Kitende (SMASK) currently holds the title, having secured a 1-0 victory against St. Henry’s College Kitovu at Nyakasura Ground in Fort Portal during last year’s final.

That marked their 12th championship, having previously claimed victory in 2020, 2019, 2015, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2008, 2007, 2006, and 2004.
