My Vote is for Museveni – Mao Confirms

Gulu- A few days to Uganda’s 2026 General elections scheduled to take place on 15th January, Democratic Party President, Hon. Nobert Mao has declared his unwavering support to the ruling government.

“For the first time in my life, I will be voting President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni…..” Remarked Mao while addressing while addressing youths from higher institutions of learning at Gulu University on Tuesday
Mao added that in the last elections, he has been wasting his vote.
The Laroo-Pece Division, in Gulu City parliamentary contestant, based his decision on his decision to improved dialogue and reconciliation between the NRM government and the Acholi people.
Mao’s statement strengthens the Memorandum of Understanding between Democratic Party (headed by Mao) and the ruling government headed by Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.
