Ian Kyeyune Bounces Back as Wakiso LC.5 Boss


Wakiso-Mr. Tolbart Musinguzi, the Returning officer for Wakiso District has announced that National Resistance Movement’s (NRM) Ian Kyeyune has obtained the highest number of votes compared to his counterparts on the position Wakiso District LC.5 Chairperson.

According to the results announced on Friday evening, from Thursday’s election, Kyeyune has obtained
177710 votes , followed by National Unity Platform’s (NUP) Najja Nasif with 99235 votes and Democratic Front’s Nakafeero Flavia with 10597
“Accordingly, as Returning Officer for… WAKISO … Electoral district and in accordance with Section 147
Electoral District of the Local Governments Act, Cap. 138, I declare.. KYEYUNE IAN SENGOZI.. who has obtained the
largest number of votes to be elected candidate for Wakiso Electoral District.” Remarked Tolbart Musinguzi, the Returning officer
Out of the 287542, 3003 were rejected votes.
Ian Kyeyune was once the LC.5 Chairperson for Wakiso District for two terms and later was removed from office by Matia Lwanga Bwanika who has ruled the district for three terms which ended in 2026.
