Onduparaka collected three vital points at the Greenlight Stadium to register their tenth victory in the 2023/24 FUFA Big League season.

Brian Ade assisted Nelson Mandela to score just towards the end of the first half, giving the Caterpillars a well-deserved lead in the 42nd minute of the game.

In the 52nd minute, James Jarieko doubled Onduparaka’s lead, finishing off a brilliant individual move initiated by Mandela from his own half.

Just three minutes after Jarieko’s goal, Onduparaka got the third through captain Rashid Yakini who got himself on the score-sheet after the visitors failed to deal Junior Andama’s clever corner kick.

The visitors pulled one back in the 72nd minute, but it wasn’t enough to save their day, as they lost 3-1 to Onduparaka in Arua after an entertaining 90 minutes of football at Greenlight Stadium.

The Caterpillars have now moved one position up on the table – from eighth to seventh, with 32 points from 21 games, comprising ten wins, two draws and nine loses.

They are five points adrift of the promotional places.
