Latifah Mixed SS Learn Opponents Ahead of Ball Games I Championship | Voice of Bugerere


Latifah Mixed Secondary School, Kabimbiri, has discovered its opponents for the upcoming Ball Games I Championship following the official draws held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association offices in Kampala.
The Mukono Zone girls’ football finalists have been placed in Group G, where they will face Jinja Secondary School, Binyiny Secondary School, and Panyandoli Self Help Secondary School in what promises to be a competitive group.
Speaking after the draw, the school’s Managing Director, Wilberforce Sserugo, expressed optimism about the team’s chances, emphasizing their determination to improve on previous performances.
“We have been at the championship for the last two years, and in the last edition, we were eliminated in the Round of 16. This year, our target is to perform better than last year,” Sserugo said.

“We also build on this year’s qualification, where we emerged champions of Mukono District and first runners-up in the Mukono Zone. We also have the advantage of hosting as Mukono Zone.”
This year’s championship will be hosted at Seroma Christian High School in Mukono Zone.
Other Notable Draws
Mukono Zone champions, Mukono Kings High School, have been drawn in Group H alongside football powerhouse Kawempe Muslim Secondary School, Jubilee 2000, and St Andrews Rubindi.
Hopeful Future Secondary School Kayunga will compete in Group K with Laminias College, Katooke Modern Secondary School, and Restore Leadership Academy.
Lugazi Homestone Secondary School faces a tough challenge in its group, where they will meet another powerhouse, Amus College School, alongside Kamonkoli Secondary School and Kinoni High School.
Hosts Seroma Christian High School have been drawn against Uganda Martyrs High School Lubaga, St Charles Lwanga Secondary School, and Kochi Secondary School.
Meanwhile, St Noa Girls School Zzana enter the tournament as the defending champions, setting the stage for an exciting and highly competitive championship.
