USSSA Conducts 2026 Boys’ Basketball Draws as Teams Set for Mukono Championship | Voice of Bugerere

The draws for the 2026 USSSA Ball Games I boys’ basketball championship have been held today at the USSSA headquarters at GNS Plaza in Kampala, confirming group-stage matchups ahead of the much-anticipated tournament.
A total of 48 teams have been drawn into eight groups, with defending champions Buddo Secondary School returning to defend their title against a competitive field of schools from across the country.
Seroma Christian High School in Mukono will host this year’s championship, which is scheduled to tip off on 29th April 2026. The tournament is expected to attract intense competition as schools battle for national glory.
However, by the time the draws were conducted, four slots remained vacant due to pending payments from some schools. Tournament organizers confirmed that the affected teams will be slotted in as late entrants once they fulfill the required obligations before the games begin.
The draws have already set up exciting fixtures across all groups, with traditional basketball powerhouses and emerging sides ready to clash.
