Defending champions Mukono Galacticos once again proved their dominance in youth football after edging Msingi Soccer Academy 1-0 to retain the Kings of Soccer Epic Gala U13 championship in a tense and entertaining final.
The much-anticipated showdown lived up to expectations as both sides displayed quality, discipline, and determination from the opening whistle. Msingi Soccer Academy matched the holders stride for stride in a contest filled with fast-paced attacking football and solid defensive organization.
With the game appearing destined for a penalty shootout, Mukono Galacticos found their breakthrough in the closing stages of the second half. Rising star Jovan Kirembwe emerged the hero of the day when he calmly finished off a decisive move to send players, coaches, and fans into wild celebrations.
Kirembwe’s late strike ultimately separated the two talented sides and ensured Mukono Galacticos successfully defended the prestigious youth title.
Throughout the tournament, Mukono Galacticos demonstrated why they remain one of the most promising youth football academies, with several youngsters showcasing exceptional talent, teamwork, and maturity beyond their age.
Msingi Soccer Academy also earned praise for their spirited performance and impressive run to the final, pushing the defending champions to the limit in one of the tournament’s most competitive matches.
For Mukono Galacticos, however, the day belonged to Jovan Kirembwe, whose dramatic winner capped off a memorable campaign and secured another chapter of success in the Kings of Soccer Epic Gala U13 competition.
